Zion Train - Cargo

"Neil is the real talent, Colin and Molara, well"

Ok, I admit I put that badly. I think I was about to saying something about "all that", and then didn't, but left that in, so apologies. I genuinely don't mean to diss him. To my tastes, I do think he's made his best stuff, but that's not to say he's not talented.

OK, so you dont like her singing and you dont like what she sings about, but you can't deny that she is good at what she does, even if you dont like what she does.

sorry (don't take this the wrong way) but that's almost but not quite a meaningless question :D

Celine Dion is probably very good at what she does. Probably. But so what? :D

(and i'm not being sarky, but do you see my point?)

Given she contributed to many ZT numbers, does that mean you do not like the numbers she sang on?

I often think they'd have been better without her :D And in the studio, she was more restrained - think of a track like Flag, which I think really suited her voice. But then in the studio, she wouldn't have been giving it "one love people" over the top. :D

To her, or the band's, credit, i've always had a lot of respect for how they've largely avoided rasta cliches and platitudes, partly i suspect out of respect for true rastas. They seem to have been able to convey a positive one love message without falling into Jah Bless-isms. It's just that live, when they were really kicking, it would often all stop so Molara could bless us one more time :D

nice guy, made some great tunes, but you still felt it necessary to dis him without prompting.

fraid not, it is just a list of some of the artists she has worked with. your press releases must have been awesome, i bet they use them in jounalism school now

Yep, Molara is full of love and happiness. I can see now why you do not like her.

Yes, i can imagine you see things very differently from the rest of us. the aerial view must be great.

It's just a shame you feel it necessary to try passing off opinions as facts. there are two sides to the story, i am merely sticking up for the side that you have chosen to dismiss as untalented, just becasue YOU do not like them

If you disagree with El Jefe you are either
a) thick
b) a commoner, working class oik
or c) an idiot.

How can you argue with someone so PERFECT?

heh heh

you do seem to have issues with people disagreeing with you though, and respond in a very over-sensitive manner

Sound like anyone? ;)

Anyway, I have nothing to add to the willy waving. I don't really like Zion Train whether it's molly or jonny singing :)

As it happens, i do see your point. I would say that i hate what Celine Dion does, but would never go as far as to say she had no talent.

Respect for not going into 'all that'. My apologies for diving in head first.

Now where is my peace pipe?

I think she has found her true home with her current band, it suits what she does much more than the banging ZT vibe.

Well after the gig I miss Molara...takes them to another level

I remember ZT playing a gig behind a taxi rank off seven sisters road...just full bass dub ...miss that as well
