He's the same most years on the Sunday evening but I suspect age is tempering his capacity.

At one point Lauren Laverne completely by-passed him on a link - just to safe I think. Then he did the umbrella thing for the poety reading . . . I kind of liked his face slowly disintegrated into vacent-yet-enthusiatic drunk bloke mode.

It's the cider, I believe; he gets a taste for it.

The only decent thing on MTV by the time Lowe got there was 120 Minutes, and the cunts have now scrapped it. I have since cancelled my subscription to MTV.

I haven't cancelled the subscription yet, but I used to love 120 Minutes: a wonderful mixture of the quirky and downright weird, and the brilliant and utterly shite. I got into stacks of new bands through 120 Minutes.
