Dino replica :)

Why would you want a replica? Admittedly a real one is 85-120k these days, but God, there's nothing worse than Ferrari replicas unless they're GTO replica on a 60s Ferrari chassis with the right V12 engine. Even then the donor Ferrari is usually preferable.

Plus anyone who knows, would know you're driving a fake. :p

GT40s & Cobras on the other hand are fair enough. :)

My choice would be a partially built Ultima with the 6.3 Chevvy like a mate of mine had.

Fast as fuck.

I'd want to build a motor-trike, preferably utilising the engine and transmission from a (old-style) VW beetle, and with 2 seats and a towbar (for a trailer).

Shall I let Roadie guess what I'd go for?? ;)

If I could manage both for £10k it'd be a Manta and a type of campervan. I reckon it'd be well doable coz Transits aren't dear and hubby's a joiner.
The Manta would have volvo brakes on it coz they're better for the crappy roads round here.

Fourwheel-drive Cosworth Capri... What's not to like?

Roadholding.

I knew someone who'd had a Mark III Capri souped up with a 3 litre engine in some kind of state of mild race tune. He lost his bottle with it a bit when the front end started lifting up on the M25 at "somewhat over 100"...

So by all means go for it, but stick to street cruising and doing doughnuts with it :)

Depends whether you put an apron on the front and a spoiler on the back to hold it down, surely?
Obviously, if you don't generate enough down-force then the loooong front end of a Capri is going to misbehave, especially as even the Mk 3s weren't particularly aerodynamic. ;)

Porsche 912 - they're my favourite cars, just love the look of them.
