and klute will be in there, possibly at the top spot, although that could be taken by "the creeps"

Bought this when it came out (mostly because of 'pacman' I think) but wasn't really into techstep at the time so never really got into it. Might have to dig it out again...

Truth be told I was really disappointed with "Call to Mind" - Commix are some of my favorite producers - their Metalheadz EP was a killer and their album sampler "Be True/Satellites" was probably the best release of 2007. But the album didn't gel well for me. I hope their next one will be better. That "Bear Music" on Hospital is absolutely smoking.

I guess for me there was no weight of expectation. Their early stuff on Hospital was nowt to write home about so ignored their other releases. Only ended up downloading 'call to mind' because I'd read so many good write ups thought I should at least give it a go. Even then I didn't actually get round to listening to it until about six months ago! But after that I was hooked! The only dud track on the album imo is that House/Techno *yawn*fest.

A Guy Called Gerald -- Black Secret Technology
Goldie -- Timeless
Roni Size -- New Forms

Those must be my favourites, cos they're the only ones I've got. :)

Black Sun Empire - Cruel & Unusual
High Contrast - Tough Guys Don't Dance
Black Sun Empire - Driving Insane
Future Prophecies - Warlords Rising
Klute - Lie, Cheat & Steal
Calibre - Musique Concrete
Calyx & Teebee - Anatomy LP
Matrix & Futurebound - Universal Truth

After that it gets tough! Probably...

Concord Dawn - Uprising
Pendulum - Hold Your Colour

Roni Size/Goldie are boring and can fuck off.

If you're just looking for an amazing DnB CD, it has to be Marcus Intalex - Fabric Live 35. That dude is a genius.

Some good choices there. I much prefer dnb mix cd's/online mixes to albums.

Fabric Live 35 is wicked. Marcus Intalex can be boring as fuck live though, and he's a bit of a twat.

I forgot about 28 Gun Bad Boy - A Guy Called Gerald

I haven't heard that in years - has anybody got a copy of it?

I have, on Juicebox. Lots of AGCG's stuff around that time sounds like a sort of proto-dubstep. Eerie.

Surprised no-one's mentioned Omni Trio - Volume 1 - The Deepest Cut.

Me too, and annoyingly that's the only disc that isn't there any more. No doubt left on the decks at some house party somewhere.

Dom & Roland - Industry
Evol Intenet - Us Against The World
Bizzy B - Science EP vol3

off the top of my head

Not got time to read it but can we please sort out the difference between Roni Size (a producer/DJ) and Reprazent (a group of producers and assorted others which Roni Size was a part of)

Thanks

I liked that Alex Reece album as well, was a really good sound with that lass singing over deep as fuck bass

There was an album by More Rockers that was fucking beautiful as well but I can't remember the name of it
Album by more rockers is "bass is maternal" it is indeed a nice album:)
