Mafia Boss comes closest - head of the familia of a wide ranging "aristocracy" with fingers in every pie, owning about 30%+ of Britain (“the aristocracy and gentry still own around 30% of England”. This may even be an underestimate, as the owners of 17% of England and Wales remain undeclared at the Land Registry")

I have nothing against Brenda as an individual she is just some old woman that I have never met.
My beef us with the institution of Royalty it's ridiculous that in the 21st century someone is head of state simply by being born to the job.
None of the arguments for keeping it seem to stack up as far as I can see, there are plenty of liberal democracies in the world that do fine as republics nor do I believe that the so called tourist attraction of having them is worth what it costs.

In the 21st century - like there was ever a century in which monarchy was less than ridiculous. There are no liberal democracies worth the name of democracy, they're only democratic in the same way the third reich was socialist

I'm not that fussed about the constitutional aspect, a ceremonial and basically powerless head of state is fine, a democratic government is the important bit, and would be a nice thing to have one day. Elected presidents looks like a shit system to me full of ego maniacs.

My main issue with aristocrats is of their wealth, power and land ownership, and their important position within the wider establishment.

People bang on about ‘imagine if Blair was president’ and so on.

Why do we need a head of state at all? Surely the prime minister of the day should fill that role and we’re all sorted.

The Queen is probably a lovely lady , the monarchy should end with a lovely lady. I don't much like the rest of them , apart from Harry & Meghan, since all the hating on them started .

Apart from the racism, using the public purse to get her paedo son off the hook, undermining the little democracy these fair isles has to further line her pockets…etc.

Don't think she's thar bad... Can think of fair few Head of States globally where you'd be putting yourself at risk with a poll like that...

Yes the whole thing Is anachronistic BUT if and when it goes it'll be like Brexit. Say we have a referendum and Republicans win.. There's lots of different types of Republic (as there was potentially with Brexit). You could galvanise support for an Irish style Republic and end up giving Boris (or whomever) US Presidential type powers o even Putinesque
