Goodness knows we`ve (Spurs) had more than a few pricks at WHL over the years but Chelsea are a fucking joke - thugs in Henri lloyd/C.P/whatever gear with their teenage sons in tow singing about Aushwitz/gas chambers etc; on tubes slapping 'pakis'; racially abusing their own players (Canonville etc). 10,000 arseholes in the Shed and on the benches.Fucking animals...
Couple this with the glory hunters, post-Sky bandwagon jumpers and the Russian crook's billions and you have many reasons to dislike them...
Our traditional rivals are obviously Arsenal but in my experience Arsenal and Spurs fans are pretty alike (as are West Ham).....Chelsea are a different phenomena altogether.
and yeah...Liverpool and Man U did attract 'supporters' from all over during their glory years but get on the train from Euston on any given weekend and you`ll find loads of cockney reds etc who have travelled all over the Uk and Europe following their side over many years - when Chelski's fortune's wane we`ll see how many 'fans' do the same...

It's not that simple, even in the games that are sold out you hardly ever hear the chelsea crowd. I personally think it's because they play boring football - who'd shell out £50 for that...Chelsea supporters have been abused by the management of the club, past and present, and as im sure you know it's very expensive to watch them.
Therefore, many people pick and choose the games they go to, and this one wasn't considered to be important. With one or two exceptions, all of the home games have been sold out, and have been for many years now, there have also been occasions when games have been boycotted, such as the early stages of the champions league last year. I wonder how much support liverpool would have now if they had spent more than two decades down in the dumps ?

this is the chelsea 'fans' thread though. not for discussion of the team. maybe we can have a 'fan' thread for every other team playing football in Great Britain. strung_out?tangerinedream said:Can we get rid of one of the Chelsea threads please?

When you spend as much money as Chelsea do on transfers you can do what you want. You control how things are done.
Why give Arsenal £25 million in July when they can hand it over in late August?
You don’t want to give a team like Arsenal a substantial amount of money early on in the summer - with Wenger’s eye for a bargain he could buy 3 or 4 brilliant players for that cash.
And William Gallas?
When you have the financial needs of Chelsea you can easily afford to let the guy rot in the reserves if he doesn’t play by the rules.
At any other club in the world, any player can engineer a move away from his club.
But not at Chelsea.
Here you are just another name on the list. You don’t want to play for us? Then you can see out the rest of your contract in the reserves. It doesn’t matter how big a player or how good you are - Chelsea can bring in 3 or 4 players of equal ability and reputation.
Don’t like it? That’s tough!

One club will make FUCK all difference. Your just breeding disloyal money grabing cunts and you deserve all the crap you get.STFC said:Actually, I see this as a positive thing.
