Your pet's favourite food

Oooh I love rats! Do you have any pics of them? I used to have 2, they were such lovely pets :)

I'm finding it terribly difficult to get pictures of them - they move around too much.

One of the rats is a little brat - she's completely eaten away the base of the cage through her various escape attempts (and it's a big cage - plus they get plenty of playing time outside). We're going to have to replace the base with perspex or something. Mind you, she's currently completely AWOL - seems to have got out of the whole flat, for the second time.

The other rat is the tamest, dippiest, cutest rat ever. She's been sitting next to me watching TV most of the night, apart from when she's gone off to wander round the room - right now she's sitting on my bike :D And then she'll just come back of her own accord.

Who'd have thought rats would have such different personalities!

I ran a bath. Poppy is living in the bathroom right now because the other rat destroyed their cage so much. I had made sure there was no way she could climb up to the bath - or at least, I thought I had.

Just found her poor little drowned body. The poor, lovely, happy creature.

My daughter will be devastated.

Sorry for posting that on your nice thread, btw, Cloo. I just know that if I started a thread about it on its own, there would be a few people who'd have a go or take the piss - well, maybe there wouldn't - but if often seems to happen on threads in which it shouldn't, and I don't want to deal with that. I also wanted to tell somebody, because I'm not going to text it to my GF while she's out.

I know she was just a rat, but she really was the sweetest little thing. And, like I said, not the brightest (for a rat). Her paws were all curled up as she'd tried to climb out. I should have followed my instinct to just keep her with me.
