your musical one true love?

i have a theory that you musical true-love is what you were listening to between 15-18.... anyone disagree?

You might be right (although I also listened to Happy Hardcore at tthat age!! )

For me it's Hip Hop, Drum n Bass and Electronica.

My one true love has to be detroit techno. Though I have had beautiful affairs with hip hop, rock, soul, and dub reggae.

I think if I analysed my music collection the biggest section would be based around the acoustic guitar , folk , country , blues , but it would be hard to be more specific . An album that would fit in all three catagories , Blood on the Tracks would always stay in my top 5 or so.

Uptight...

SLF / dag nasty / fugazi /suicidal tendencies

no, not for me but I see what you're getting at in that it is a soundtrack to an exciting period in your life
i had a great time in the early 90s so all that American indie stuff does it for me...Dinosaur, Superchunk, Sonic Youth, Archers of Loaf etc etc

Hmmmm . . .

For listening/dancing I'd say house music in all it's varieties, tho techno comes a very, very close second (and techno is house, and house techno when it comes down to it).

For performing/vocation, I'd say the English Choral Tradition. It is teh c00l and it makes me happy :)

The Stones, up to & including Goats Head Soup. The only albums from within this period that I don't listen to a lot are Satanic majesties & Between the Buttons. Always there for me when I tire of the latest new thing on my turntable.

Oh thank god. I've always felt a pariah amongst friends (and the world) about dylan...at least there's another person in the world who feels like I do.

Deified to death, and can't even play decent harmonica.
