My brother's 1970s footie comics. Hot-Shot Hamish!
Collecting 1978 Panini stickers and doing swapsies in the playground.
First Enfield FC game in 1980: home v Tooting and Mitcham, 3-3. Cracking game, got me hooked.
Mid-80s, FA Cup: Barnet 0 Enfield 7. Hahahahahaha!
A choice quote from the man who would become chairman of Enfield Town FC:
"Best goal was Keith Hayzelden's. So many that day can't remember which one it was. One of those rare things a Barnet attack was stopped by Noel Ashford who ran almost the length of the pitch passing numerous Barnet players before passing to Hayzelden on the opposite flank who had managed to keep up with Ashford. Hazel gloriously swept the ball home. Memory of losing fans? Don't remember seeing any after the 5th went in."
