Leandro Lima, apparently. If he's half as good as Anderson, then we might have a chance of not finishing third.

For those not familiar with PL Rules . . .

" . . .rules have been brought in to prevent clubs signing young players who live outside their catchment area.

Under 12's must live within an hour's travelling distance from the club, or 90 minutes for players aged 13-16.

Technically, you can sign a professional contract at 17. But Wayne Rooney is the exception rather than the rule. Most players will have to wait until they are 19 before finding out whether they have a future at the club."

mark noble.

And James Tomkins (will be better than Rio as a CH if he can get over being unlucky with injuries) and Hogan Ephraim.

Shame Kyle Reid and Chris Cohen didn't make the grade though :(

Teddy Sheringham.

Reckon he's got the potential to be the future of Colchester Utd. Just as long as he stays out trouble with the law...

Congrats mate, looks like some awesome prospects there, like us i think more should be made of youth systems. So so important to any club and some bigger clubs disregard them and prefer short term aims to appease supporters.

What's interesting is how Cardiff (and its academy) is suddenly becoming essential to national success. Ex players such as Collins, Koumas (who's career was revived at NP), Earnshaw and Gabbidon are already in the side (albeit with limited success), having cut their teeth as Bluebirds players. Bale (and possibly Dave Coterill) aside, the future of Wales is currently playing for Cardiff.

Before people start shouting, I know Wales are shit at present, but with the CCFC academy starting to produce on a regular basis, I wouldn't bet on them being shit for that long.

Same goes for the Bluebirds; FA cup winners 2010 :p

The thing is, its whether Cardiff will keep them Bendeus, unless you make the prem its very unlikely. However it is better to have than never at all and is great for the welsh national side.

Gotta be Noble for us. Was just as crucial as Tevez in keeping us up, but nobody mentioned that as it isn't really headline making. Only 19 still too. Certainly cuts it at prem level and will be the one to watch next season IMO. Could make the england squad in the not too distant future considering some of the crap that gets there like jenarse

Yeah he did play very well and for me didn't get enough praise.

Think this is the season where Luke Moore will finally come good... not a coincidence that he started every game of our flying start to last season, and that his injury coincided with our mid-season slump. Hit a hat-trick last night & all...

Lucas Leiva - Captain of the Brazil u-20 team
Emilio Insua - Argentinian left back, just won the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup
Besian Idrizaj - Good Austrian forward

Bang Putterill, Anderson, Hammill, Spearing, Pacheco and Barnett (if he doesn't leave) on that list.

Insua is more a 'stable' left back than a spectacular one, can see him in the first team and becoming the Finnan of the left rather than a big reputation player.

Idrizaj is very hot and cold, too inconsistent to make it at Liverpool I think, didn't do a whole lot at luton last season.

A lot of teams pay through the nose to get families to move closer, I know Liverpool declined to do that with Joe Cole who was desperate to go there (along with lampard, allegedly) but did so with the mighty Robbie Foy and Ryan Wilkie.

I also heard a rumour that the mancs are using private jets to qualify players under that rule, don't know how true it is though.

I'm under very few illusions that Cardiff will manage to hang on to them for that long. A good season this year for some or all of them and the big boys will come-a-knocking again, this time with even higher bids.

That's ok too, provided we use the revenue for squad building as, despite protestations to the contrary, we are still a selling club.

The best I could hope for is about two or three seasons, one of which gets us promoted.
