Your favourite sweets

Have you tried these moose

Best vegan ones I have tried yet.

Kind of ironic that they're suitable for vegans, considering even the most rabid meat eater wouldn't dream of eating a kitten! They sell them in my local Superdrug, and much as I fancied sweets and I knew they're not real kittens, I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Was it icing sugar? The powder never tasted that sweet to me :hmm:

It turns out it's milk powder.

I discovered this through the Power that is Google, and Yay!, That Power hath shown me the path into a webshop whereupon a man may buy a one Kg box of said teeth for Eight of Her Majesty's Pounds, and I hath grasped the shopkeeper to mine breast, and he shall give unto me such a feast!

Free P&P and all....

My absent teeth are evidence of my sweet adoration...but truly, those candy kittens are an abomination unworthy of being called a sweet...and certainly not a patch on Haribo Tangtastics. However, boiled sweets, especially if associated with fruit, are my summer option...and I now require an extra buttery addition to get me through winter. So yep, back on the Werthers (chewy variety). I abandoned Thorntons special toffee when teeth became precarious (although mine were post-carious by then). I am loyal to alphabet letters and best mints are Uncle Joes mint balls. I had a little epiphany when I discovered Vimto bon-bons too.

I got a bunch of fruit gums cause they were cheap and they're so chewy I can't actually destroy a packet in seconds like I can with other sweets.

Someone left a bag of liquorice allsorts open near me this afternoon. Not a fan but I practically inhaled them anyway. I need to stop eating sweets.

I like Parma violets and swizzles double lollies.

Also foam strawberries which are like marshmallows with red sugar in the outside.

I also like proper milk bottles - I thought that was cornflour on the outside.

And speaking of dust: Turkish delight.

Ummm. I’m not a fan of sour jellies except the cherries in tangfastic. I know they do packs just of the cherries, but that’s too much.

I like chocolate too.

It most definitely is, but where can you get it ? I've had some a colleague brought back from Stockholm but it's not desperately handy for Somerset

e2a-- oooo and it goes really well with black coffee

You can sometimes buy it in shops - I've bought it in Clas Ohlson before, but I don't think they have many shops in the UK. Presumably they do delivery though.

Clas Ohlson UK

I've bought from a company called Scandinavian Kitchen before too.

Scandinavian Liquorice - ScandiKitchen

It's amusing to take some into work and offer it to unsuspecting colleagues.

Those peanut shaped hard sucky sweets with bits of peanut in them. Mmmmm.

Last lot I had weren't as nutty as the used to be though.
