I was torn between Art and Epiphanies, but in the end it had to be Art. Zombies, cheap drugs and - of course - the truly awful waistcoat (although I wouldn't mind a shirt like that) coupled with ample helpings of the sublime Mark Heap.

Tim: You're scared of mice and spiders, but oh-so-much greater is your fear that one day the two species will cross-breed to form an all-powerful race of mice-spiders who will immobilize human beings in giant webs in order to steal cheese.

Twist: Why Brian? I happen to like going out! It's important for me to be seen out!
Brian: Yeah, well I don't want to go out, I want to stay in.
Twist: Oh, and have sex! That's all you want to do, I'm not just here for one thing! Why can't you see me as a whole?
Brian: I do.
Twist: A whole Brian, with a 'w'!
Brian: Oh.

Bilbo: Will you come back?
Tim: I'm already there.
Bilbo: What?!
Tim: I mean I'll come back.
Bilbo: Oh, right. You frightened me for a moment there.

:D

1.6 epiphanies

Without once mentioning drugs, just the best representation of clubbing ever.

Brian: "MUST .... DANCE ... !"

Oh and Mike at the end.

"Hardcore UK raver ..." :D

I read a Spaced message board once (just the once mind) and it was interesting how the people who clearly 'got' this episode ;) found it hysterical while the innocent types who didn't rarely mentioned it.

Tyres is brilliant and the chill out room scene makes me cringe...

Epiphanies..........

Seeing Mike in a pink top throwing shapes in the church of dance........

Oh, and the music is stonking too.

Until yesterday I thought that was an original KRS saying. :(

Obviously I was too munted watching Spaced to pick it up. :D

Darn it. I wanna watch them all now. Funnily enough last night I suddenly realised me n' fuct act like Tim n'Daisy all the time. Except we're not pretending to be just 'friends' obviously (said Tyres stylee with appropriate hand gestures). And I can no longer say 'pudding' normally - it always has to be in the style of Vulva.

Oh, and a million and one things have become in the style of 'hardcore UK raver' ie going to the supermarket is 'hardcore UK shopper ... rewind'

:o Oh God, I've just admitted how sad my life really is haven't I?! :o

I said "throwing shapes in the church of dance" to someone when I was out in a club last week and they looked at me TOTALLY blank. Some people have no idea innit. :D

It's a whole new language.

I was most disappointed when declaring 'Mine's a pint of the black stuff' down the pub on sunday, that NOT ONE of the freshers replied with the classic...

"you can't drink a pint of bovril!"

:(:D

Oh, bollocks, I really like the art episode, but epiphanies is also excellent, but it's too late now, I've voted for art, nevermind...

They're both great episodes anyway, why oh why there has to be a 'best' one? :p

That one was tops :)

Very difficult to choose. They are all great in their own ways but i went for the dognapping one as no one else had.

ah yes, poodink.... :D (at least that what it sounds like to me and I have the same problem with the word now)

watched series one back-2-back last nite after bunking off work, priceless stuff that cheered me up no end :)

It's between 'art' and 'epiphanies' for me...I voted for art cos of the whole videogame/comedy crossover (and because I've had to sit through 'challenging' modern performance art like that before)

OIOI YOU LUCKY PEOPLE!!!

I just wish there was something I could do about these FUCKING MOOD SWINGS!!!

*reads iemanjas post*

*makes ZZZZZ finger-on-forehead gesture*

stdPikachu and I quote Spaced to each other in our conversations so you're not the only sad one :D

Me and my housemate throw spaced at each other far too much as well.

We even pulled off the 'are you going to go?' 'ooh, i don't know..' 'no I mean, are you going to go, now' on one of our other mates :D

:D

My Marsha impression's not bad so whenever me and the boyf are drinking red wine I say "Alright Brian (or sometimes use his name)?" with dirty old woman look on my face :D

My mate works in a pub called 'The End' and has a t-shirt of his own design...

pub logo on back '...skip to the end' on the front

my boyfriend and i are the same...tragically we sometimes don't even realise we've quoted spaced till the other points it out :o
and we've started using 'pudding' as shorthand for any pretentious art-wankery ('that film was a bit pudding really') :)

*has horrible feeling this is about to start creeping into our conversations too*

*has decency to look shamefaced*
