Which one was that? I've just finished ep 3 of season 3 thanks to a gorgeous urb

I knew Jimmy was English (with an accent like that), but only found out 2 days ago Stringer is too  Motherfucker!

Omar ftw

Lester Freamon has a bit of an english tint to his accent as well.

And the guy who plays Tommy Carcetti is irish, was in Queer as Folk iirc.

I don't wanna post any spoilers!

I searched - you're right, that's a great ep, one part in particular.

After a particularly prolonged Wire session, I went out and couldn't understand why no one was talking in a Baltimore accent :o

Same - And I started saying motherfucker a lot

I voted Wire. Although Deadwood was very very close.

Having returned to viewing Oz I'm of the opinion that it's not half as clever as it thinks it is but kind of addictive for its violence...

Carnivale, and last season of the Wire for winter :)

No! Never tried watching it whilst enhanced... always just got a bit bored.

They set up characters and stuff in the first one - it's not a series with a pay off at the end of every episode, there aren't any cliff hangers! Get a couple out the way and you'll probably be hooked.

Damn, I wanted to vote for Lucky Louie.

I can't believe HBO cancelled it after only one series. It was the funniest comedy I'd seen in years.

Guess I'll have to plump for Six Feet Under.

Larry Sanders Show

Isnt everyone forgetting The Larry Sanders Show? Possibly the greatest US comedy of all time (alongside Seinfeld). Another early HBO show was Dream On. Both shoved to a late night slot on UK TV in the nineties.

Has anyone seen 'Tell me you Love me?' I've seen a few episodes and it's a bit porny but quite interesting.

I voted Entourage, but kicked myself because of course, The Wire rules.

The Wire by a mile.
But then the others are also so far ahead of anything else on TV it's ridiculous.

What's Rome like btw?
I was eyeing up S1 in the shop the other day.

I'm on the fourth series of Oz and it jumped the shark so massively yesterday that I fell about laughing....in fact, it's been getting progressively funnier as the series advance. I don't think this is intentional but it's so pompous and ridiculous at the same time it kills me :D
