Great videos. Thanks for sharing it.
Anything by Jimmy Chamberlain of the Smashing Pumpkins. Amazing drummer.
Love a bit of Dire Straits - a band so uncool they are very cool.
Great drumming by Terry Williams on this live version
This lad's not half bad.
I love the way Ringo handles the tricky shifts in rhythm and tempo here. Proper musicianship.
Horace Andy with Sly & Robbie. As any regular Fiscoers will know is one of my favourites.
The Art of Drumming | Season 1 Episode 1
anybody else been watching this ? lots of talking heads but a genuine insight into what makes a drummer tick , putting it front of stage instead of hiding at the back . Only watched episode 1 so far , lots more to see yet . From a personal point of view just having the various styles and variations explained is great .
That looks great, cheers for the heads up.
Clem Burke drumming on Blondie's Heart of Glass has just popped into my head. Great drummer!
Other than the mighty Led Zeppelin.. probably Geoff Barrow Portishead.. particuarly this:
I was watching some drum covers yesterday and found this, reminded me what great drums this load of MOR cheese contains, the double-sticked hi-hats especially (not an easy little trick...)
Weirdly I've just been listening to Rosanna tonight. I didn't realise how many records Jeff Porcaro played on, everything from Warren Zevon to Michael Jackson... Hard to comprehend really, what a drummer.
Not bad drumming from someone who only has one arm
(not Lonnie Liston Smith btw...)
Another Clive Deamer, I must warn you... it is jazz.
The Who are fucking shit guys.
This whole gig basically.
Mtume on this.
lethal n sexy shit.
yeah it's just percussion but fuck me what a groove.
oh christ. one of the worst bands of all time.
The authoritative scientific doctrinaire list is as follows:
Genesis. No, not even nostalgia. you can't get shitter than Genesis. It's not humanly possible. They are so shit they make ELP look like Schoenberg, that's how shit they are!
yeah, absolute classic this, I'm sure the 70s Ghanaian highlife has loads of undiscovered gems tbh.
The drum groove on this song is still awesome
And I like pop music with aggressive drumming like this:
i can listen to any of my favorite players, Carlton Barrett, john bonham, elvin jones, it's hard to pick a favorite.
this is interesting if a bit fanboyish.
