William Devane - the Olivier of the TV Movie. Despite tons of crap TV including a 10 year (!) stint in Knots Landing he sporadically turns up in fairly decent films (McCabe and Mrs Miller, Marathon Man, Testament, The Dark Knight Rises.
Elizabeth Berkley in Showgirls gives a performance that can only be described as insanely overcommitted to a terribly written role. She attacks a burger and fries with a demented greediness that she seems to think signifies a zest for life but which just reads as utterly WTF. That said, Showgirls wouldn't nearly be as funny and compelling as it is without Berkley and there can be something heroic in extreme failure like this..
