i hope it wasn't rose mcdowall - by all accounts she's a bit of a nutter! allegedly. amazing voice though.

there's a really funny 'list' on amazon by somebody who basically became a massive fangirl when she bought the strawberry switchblade lp, and who therefore made it her task to get everything with rose mcdowall on it, forever after. henceforth a list full of of boyd rice, death in june, current 93, etc etc, all with comments like "rose's voice is really nice on this one". :D well, it made me laugh anyway. :p

An interesting 80s outing for Jethro Tull.. demonstrating that anything Soft Cell can do they can do better:

Listen to it afew times.. its a grower..

Jethro Tull ride out the Acid House rave scene with this little number from 89.."Kissin' Willie" - nice 30 second scene-setting theatrical coda:

I've not read through the whole thread so there may be some repetitions, but...

David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes Thomas Dolby - One of Submarines
Howard Jones - What is Love?
New Order - The Perfect Kiss
Berlin - Metro
Visage - Fade to Grey
Ollie and Jerry - There's No Stopping Us
Yazoo - Situation The Style Council - It Didn't Matter
Kraftwerk - Das Model
Enjoy!

Disturbing, and slightly arousing, dance routine by Kate and the gang on Razzamatazz in '82.
The Dreaming was seen as a bit of a letdown at the time, but what an album it was...
