forgot what the question was but
Favourite album: My Dearest Dear by Michael Rossiter. Beautiful post-Bert Jansch, post-Jack Rose style folk fingerpicking album. Bluesy one-man epic riffs on ancient UK & US folk ballads. Vastly superior to the overhyped and overrated likes of Bon Iver or Fleet Foxes.
Favourite gig: dunno. but maybe the performance of Xenakis' Pithoprakta I saw as part of the Messaien season. Or possibly Boycott Coca Cola at the Lantern Society at which I was very very very very drunk.
festival: Tapestry. Only one I went to. Smokey Angle Shades played a great set (sort of Dillard & Clark meets Chas'n'Dave. Someone should book them to play an Offline...) Jim Jones Review rocked in an entirely predictable but rockingly rock way. Great festival. Almost marred by the one-trick tedious student humour of Jeffrey Lewis, who I hate. But not quite.
what was the other one? best single? do they still exist?
