I love TBBT, I have, literally every episode up to S11 E7, and am eagerly awaiting the broadcast of the next episode.

I saw Young Sheldon listed as a spin off and wondered if it was worth watching, or if it was going to be a waste of time.

Has anyone watched it, and, if so, is it any good?

Nope, but my father in law liked it, he watched it recently in the States, and allowed that while not as good as TBBT it was sufficiently pleasing to devote half an hour a week to watching.

I've just watched e1. It's ok. I'll watch the other two episodes. It's not TBBT, but it seems worth a go.

I watch TBBT a lot too.

The internet says that Young Sheldon will be on the telly here in 2018.

I gather there are sites that have this sort of stuff, but I am so rubbish at computers that I dare not use pirate sites.

How do I watch this? Is it on Amazon or Netflix or some thing like that?

Saw watchen comic book in it today. Calculated he would have had to be 14 years old minimum and not 9.
Checked some more and see it is actually set in 1989 and the actor in bbt is playing Sheldon seven years younger than his actual self.

    That is all.

Other than picking up inconsistencies/ errors in the timeline, did you form any opinion about the actual series, or was the former too distracting? :D

Like too. So glad they didn’t use the canned laughs, one liner sitcom formula of TBBT...

Well it turns out it wasn't an error in the timeline, but I bet there are some. Did 1989 really look like that? I remember it being all futuristic.
Just Jim Parsons gets a bit 'grease' playing a 38 year old.

This is much better than TBBT now.

Missy and the Nan are the stand outs for me

Its got off to a good start & is as funny as TBBT but in a different style, i feel, of comedy. And yes, some of the lines Missy has are classic.

I started to find the character of Leonard a real annoying smartarse.

There was a bit where George JR was relegated to the kid's dining table cos nan had her whacky bf round. He was disgruntled about this but Missy said something like "Its better on this table cos you can curse..ASSFACE". It really tickled me

Series 2 has been fantastic so far. Last nights was hilarious. Missy stole the show. But they all have their moments. Still a delight.

Annie Potts is perfect casting as the gran.
