You ever been in a band that comes on to a pre-recorded 'intro' track?

i've been trying to persuade my girlfriends band to come on stage to the red army choir singing the soviet national anthem - and then do a cover of it.

having second thoughts now...

So, who's done the stroppy 'kick the gear over' (but not too hard) routine as you petulantly flounce off stage?

(once again, editor's hand goes up)

Used to be in a band that did the "break the gear a bit but not too much" thing. Occassionally it went over into "too much".

I remember the drunken/stoned conversation after one gig.

"Fuckin hell, did you see Ben's guitar?"
"Trashed. Where is he?"
"In the toilets, looking white"
"Bet Pete Townshend never looks white after trashing his gear!"
"Pete Townsend gets more for his gigs than we do..."
