I wonder if the Marriot will end doing the suing? Their lasagne may be completely innocent!

The worst fans in England, full stop. Even worse than johnny-come-lately Chelsea fans

now come on! let's have some sanity in the debate! nothing is worse than them.

Did you read the observer sport magazine this week? had a big interview with john terry. in amongst all the arselicking was one paragraph about how john terry is special amongst footballers as he is liked and respected by players and fans of other clubs, much like his team mate frank lampard.

did make me laugh.

As sombody has mentioned earlier, and needs mentioning again. At one stage The Arsenal had 9 players injured, but compensated with youngsters, this is why FIFA allows large squads, and the spuds have a large squad.

The result stands.....

So picture this...... 12 hours before your Champions league final in Paris 10 of your first team go down with food poisoning... what would you do?

would the most important game in your recent history be posponed?

would you just carry on regardless? what if you lost... what would you do then?

I'll wager ARSEnal would go on and on about it untill they got they're own way... or poison Barcelonas meat pies!!

No. it shouldn't be replayed

If it was gastroenteritis, that's a bug which comes on really fast and nasty and it could easily be that they all came down together if one of them had it.

If the team REALLY were suffering from food poisioning/gastrowosits they'd have been really dehyrated and flagging by the end of the game, when in fact Spurs played a much better second half than the first.

I was v impressed by Martin Jol's humility and attitude in the post-match interview, but now he's making himself and Spurs look stupid.

Just like West Ham will look on Saturday :D

I think everyone voting for a replay should declare their interest.

were you at the game then?

no, ffs. spurs and spurs alone are responsible for ttheir catering arrangements and spurs' condition. you'd think a wealthy EPL club would be able to ensure their players didn't get food poisoning from the grub at a 4-star hotel. I've entertained my clients at that joint - top quality.
I do have a fair bit of sympathy for spurs - I'd rather matter shadn't been resolved this way - but why have a rule book if you ain't gonna observe it to the letter?
wouldn't be fair on west ham either, they've done nowt wrong....

Judging by your previous posts including Thierry Henry in the 'Who do you want to kill' thread, I'm guessing your declaring yourself to be a Spurs fan?

If they get a replay I want the 1971 FA Cup semi Final replaying so that those cheating arsenal gits face the music as well !!

I doubt Jol's behind it. Strikes me as a typical 'boardroom' idea based on loss of income, not glory.

I voted against, and I've been spurs since m' pappy's eye twinkled.

I can't see any decent argument for it, TBH. Or for postponing it in the first place. The idea that it should be treated differently because of its importance is especially absurd IMO.

Jol seems a very sporting fella, as also witnessed after Pedro Mendes' wonder-goal at Old Trafford last year. I think we can say with a fair amount of certainty that messers Mourinho, Wenger and Ferguson wouldn't have stayed so calm.

I've seen it suggested that Spurs are only asking for a replay so that when it gets refused they can go ahead and sue Marriott hotels for their supposed losses.

I read that too. Apparently you can't claim if you haven't tried to mitigate your losses as much as possible. It does kind of make sense.
