Yamaha FZR 1000..

too easy pingu .. he's enjoying it allright :)

sorry , but i just thought that peeps would assume that i most certainly would not buy that boy that bike if i didn't know he could handle it. :)

but u know about assuming:rolleyes::p:)

you gone off the whole thing now then?

Aie I like looking at them more than riding for some reason :D

plus I had two really close accidents in the space of a week :eek:

I just ride like a twat, can't help it and can't afford to ride on a track. I'm looking into off-roading maybe some time in the future. I spent last weekend on a Honda CRF 230 which was a real buzz but the kids are teens and cost more by the day so all the ME activities are on hold :( Saying this I might have enough for a new mountain bike by christmas and get back into that for health reasons :p

As for your OP - I'm sure you know best about your sons ability to ride a bike. I don't really think accidents are engine size related, at least they shouldn't be. Pretty sure an FZR 1000 is safer than my 125 cos belive me that has scarey handling, chinese rubber and overtaking is nigh on impossible without a run up or stunt man manouvers.

I'm a bit over protective with my kids but my son is far more sensible than I have ever been so if he wants a scooter next year I reckon I should let him.
