Back in the mix so to speak. Two home games now - one against Rushden, one against Carlisle. Wouldn't be at all surprised if we lost to Anne Diamonds but beat Carlisle![]()

I refuse to extrapolate to the end of the season until there's only one or two games to go (being miles ahead in second place 6 years ago and ballsing it up over the last ten games cured me of that).JTG said:I was talking about our next two matchesI refuse to extrapolate to the end of the season until there's only one or two games to go (being miles ahead in second place 6 years ago and ballsing it up over the last ten games cured me of that).
Having said that, those home games should all be winnable. The away match at the Racecourse on Easter Monday looks massive now...

We're being airbrushed out of history I tells ya![]()
Great game, great travelling fans, great performance and great results around us. We can still do this!

After what I said on another thread about the dreadful amplified music some grounds insist on playing when their team scores, I'd like to add something else. When crowds sing it's, by definition, a group reaction to what's happening on the pitch. Whereas when a bloke in a box presses a button, it's quite easy for them to completely misread the situation. So, the highlight for me was when Wycombe scored their consolation goal, the music came on and we promptly danced around to it in the away end, whilst the home fans shuffled towards the exits.
The other highlight was them hitting both posts with one shot in the first 5 mins. We celebrated that as if we'd scored too.
I took a couple of mates who have no connection with Rovers (or Bristol) and was nervous that we'd lose 1-0 to a first half penalty (or something), but they've now started asking me about our upcoming fixtures and talking about making pilgrimages to the Mem![]()
Relahni said:It was a great game. Wycombe unlucky not to take the lead in the first few minutes. I think the kick off was delayed a couple of minutes due to the Rovers fans outside. Was quite impressed with the Bristol Rovers support.
Pretty impressed also with the standard of play.
The burgers were possibly the rankest of all time. No good whatsoever.
Cold grey and minging.
Good day out though!

JTG said:I also hear that the playing of 'singing the blues' when the teams came out for the second half backfired somewhat by succeeding in whipping the away supporters up, roaring the boys on to securing an early second![]()

I bet the atmosphere is not as good though.

My altered state of mind thought it was something like see you in the morning...
Looking forward to visiting the gas.
Presumably something like...? "Come on Eilleen, I'll see you in the morning"
