I think it's worth downloading but not buying.

Yes it does fit a certain mood, but not one you'll have that often (not that I know you or anything!).

I do tend to think he 'acts' his singing tho and you tend to think, 'Oh for christs's sake!' at times. But yeah I have both albums and they're not bad. You know. Not as bad as that weak ejaculate bloke, god whats his name, his stuff makes me want to throw things at the radio. Hawaian bloke you know?

I see what people mean about his nasal sound now. I was watching a few more videos of him singing solo on Youtube. I think I'm more impressed by Lisa Hannigan than him as it happens. Her voice can sound as good as Norah Jones, better than any folk singers (like Kate Rusby), and she seems to have something else in her voice that can't be described.

Occasionally Rice sounds good on his own, but I am not sure my opinion has changed on him since I seen that South Bank show about Seu Jorge then looked up Rice on the internet. Back then I thought he was quite dreary and nothing special. However, his voice and Hannigan's go very well together. And I have to say the actual songs and arrangements impress me.

I don't like depressing music, but I like slow music with a lot of emotion in it and songs like "9 crimes" and "I remember" are just right up my street. I thinks I'll be buying the O album, and I might download 9 crimes. The most recent album had some bad reviews.

He can be depressing yup and his songs can be kinda samey. That said I like a couple of them.
