I bought a gap tshirt from a charity shop the other week. Should I be attacked for wearing it?
No because you're not creating a demand for new Gap products but if you shop or steal from them direct you are.

what about the redwoods? Have you people no social concience?

The Gap sucks
I don't know about the Redwoods issue, but that link is slagging off the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), despite the fact that the FSC is supported by Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace and the Soil Association in the UK, along with many other environmental organisations around the world. From my own research into the FSC (as part of my MSc) I found them to be one of the best sustainable forestry organisations around.

I seem to remember their clothes are dull and nastily made. I would have posted something to illustrate my point, but they're so shoddy, their website only works with certain browsers :D

I never have - in part cos of the manufacturing ethical thing, although God knows I'm sure I shop at loads of places that are just as bad. And partly because I just associate it with being the kind of shop used by people who don't like clothes. You know, the kind of person who has 5 pairs of black trousers from Gap, wears one pair out and then buys another pair from Gap more or less the same.

But... I've seen quite a lot of nice, less boring stuff in there in recent years, so I may falter.

In my wardrobe:

The velvet jacket I bought was size 0

What's that all about then? Is my body so small it doesn't even exist?!

How can a full grown woman be a size 4, FFS?

er, yeah tell me about it!! I know I'm small, but I'm not that bloody small!

Do they have minus sizes in the US then? How can anyone be size -1, that's just riddiculous

You're not alone... I'm a Gap size 0 too (for trousers, anyway). I can't believe it really equates to UK size 4, otherwise I'd never be able to buy anything anywhere else!

I would but id write fuck in front of the gap

It's a shame, I remember them doing some perfectly decent unbranded clothing when they started. "GAP" on the label and that was it.

Alot of the stuff in there doesn't have GAP plastered about on it.. I don't buy anything with a brand name on it.. just don't like it.
