I know where you're coming from, but when i think about it, it might be even worse. Would you prefer a member of your family bashing you to bits, or a neighbour?

Would you prefer a mate bashing you to bits than a complete stranger?

Funny that. Saddam was as bad as Hitler for using WMDs on his own people. Important distinction as Churchill gassed the Kurds aeons ago and the US has been using WMDs against other peoples' people for decades.

Repression is repression regardless. The Junta is simply a continuation of British colonialism (after brief interlude of social democracy) and the Junta is propped up by Western oil companies - Total (French) and Unocal (US, now owned by Chevron, also US). We are repressing the Burmese whether we like it or not. :mad:
