Worst strikers - barndoor - banjo - jigsaw etc

yeah, i felt a bit bad about putting dowie. he always worked his hardest and gave his best. but then I remember standing in the away end at stockport county in the pouring rain and seeing him score his first goal for months - a bullet header - past his own keeper. :D

That was a cracker. I only caught it on the box, but the connection he got looked sweet as a nut. I still haven't figured out what he was trying to do, I'd say it was striker's instinct taking over but it's Dowie we're talking about.

Dalian Atkinson was far, far worse

Chris Kiwomya wasn't much cop outside the First Division

Dalian Atkinson was class (on his day) and scored some brilliant goals in his partnership with Dean Saunders which was Villa's best partnership in the last 20 years IMO. Ian Ormondroyd on the other hand spent the majority of the game on his arse!

I see City fans have stayed off this thread. Probably cos it's so hard to know where to start.
I'd like to nominate VUOSO or whatever his name was cos I never saw him play and neither did anyone else apart from the Reserves followers. He was Forlan's strike partner at River Plate or wherever and we spent a few mill on him. He never played a single game before being loaned out to some Mexican side.

That was Keegan's contirbution. Pearce seems intent on adding Samaras and Corradi to the list which is a bit unfair on those two as all season we've tried different combinations up front. Sibierski suffered in the same way and although he's by no means a great player he's been popping in a few for Newcastle.

Yeah I know. Genuinely can't be bothered to run through all the flopws we signed since breaking the transfer record with...Kevin Reeves.

Corradi has always been poor....god knows why you signed him

Five words: Stuart Pearce and Stuart Wigley

We're bound to have shit attackers if it's two left backs doing the signings. Actually that logic doesn't hold cos they signed Michael Ball.

Andrew Cole was reasonable but lost interest after a year and preferred Portsmouth.
