worst star trek race

Cardassians were good, actually. The main two in DS9 anyway (Dukat, and that tailor/spy one). Also that one in TNG who interrogated Picard and fucked him up proper.

I liked the Ferengi - the Rules of Acquisition and The Great River, the relgiosity of Ferengi mercantlism, I think was quite cool.

Agreed that Neelix was a cock tho. And that Betazoids were a bit shit - altho I would do Troi and her mum...definite cougar action going on there...

I also agree with the argument that B5 developed it's species better than Trek...

No, Troi can fuck right off.

Star Trek's shitty aliens piss me off quite unreasonably :D

And that bollocks about them all being seeded by one original master race, hence them all looking virtually identical -- what an UTTER COP-OUT

Data was cool though. Out-Spocking Spock.

To my shame I liked Voyager. Mrs Columbo in Space FTW.

What was them Voyager aliens who used to harvest other peoples organs? phage or summat.

lame idea

Vidiians. Nice idea if you don't think about it too much.

The Kazon seemed fairly pointless as well, but I read they were supposed to represent gang violence, stuff like that.

Whoever said Tholians, at least they look like they're legitemately from another planet and not just BMEzine subscribers.

Here's what gets me about DS9...

It started out with the bog standard episodic structure, but was redeemed as it became more of a showcase for the different cultures connected to the Federation in some way. However, it was until after S2 of DS9, after B5 had been running 3 seasons IIRC, that they started introducing the really big, long story arcs and even then they were far, far looser than B5s.

So I think that's why I don't like DS9 so much.

Nowt wrong with that. I just ignore Janeway and focus on the rest of the crew, and the Borg encounter eps.

the biggest story arc was started in the first episode and concluded in the last. can't get much bigger than that

ah yeah vidiians

Kazon were just bog-standard klingon rip offs imo

I love Janeway's megawhiny voice though. It fascinates me with its unlikeliness.

Plus, y'know, Mrs Columbo.

seven and the doctor were the only good things about voyager. every other character was a fucking dickhead

DS9 on its best day wasn't as good as B5 on its worst.

I dunno mate - have you seen the post-S5 stuff? Crusade wasn't too bad, but I had the misfortune to see two more recent ones which had been shot on a budget of about 5p, and one of which was literally Bruce Boxleitner gabbing on about stuff that happened after S5 and Crusade that we'll never get to see.

However, at it's best (for example the 2 season-long storyline with Garibaldi and the Psicorp memory implant) B5 pisses over almost every Trek ever.

I was totally addicted to Voyager when it first started. Loved it. :)

Haven't seen it in years now, mind.

Did they ever get back to Earth?

yeah. Janeway comes to outrank Picard and fence better than him.

which is bollocks imo
