worst musical genre... EVER!

just beaten in my eyes by modern pop. Not talking about brit-pop or any of that, just all the performers who have no talent other than being photogenic and able to dance a little bit, passing themsselves off as recording artists and appearing on CDUK / TOTP / Smahs hits etc... they are the lowest of the low... even worse than Christian Rock and Bell ringing imo.

do you really believe this is a purely 'modern' phenomenon?

I was born in late 70s, don't remember jack about music pre-1985, so don't really feel qualified to comment on older stuff.

ofc, we might just have different ideas about what 'modern' covers?

The first formulated pop act were the monkees, I believe? And it seems there's more and more formulated shite every year

My girlfriend used to work with that bloke (although not in a dancing capacity)

Herbie Hancock played on Hunter and The Hunted by Simple Minds innit.

Top song IMHO. The Herbie bit is particularly good.

I've been getting back into New Gold Dream again as well for old times sake. They were really rather good before it all went down hill with stadium cock wank stuff.

Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Calls is a right corker too IMHO.

Any music played on a hammond organ, german polka music, and the worst of all is cuntry and western

Gangsta Rap - because I can't identify with it in any way and I just find it extremely irritating.
Most modern R&B which sounds like supermarket music and is no way comparable to the original stuff which had real feeling (imo).
Not too keen on english folk music either.

Are you saying you don't like Can You Feel The Force by The Real Thing?
How's that possible?

I fear I am, I do apologise. But I find it rather amatuerish compared to its US equivalents.
