World's Best Chocolate Bar - Offical Winner!

It's been owned by Nestle for about 20 years now. Rowntrees has only been used as a brand in their portfolio for Fruit Pastilles and fruit gums for donkey's now.

Tesco's Fairtrade Organic Ecuadorian 85%. Currently just about the best readily available in a supermarket near me. You can keep the brown sugary milk stuff.

Then they brought us the awesome Kit Kat Chucky.

:hmm:

Is it him that kills all the babies?

I'm still sore about Nestlé buying Rowntree.

Snickers, Galaxy, Galaxy Caramel and Green and Black Milk are probably the ones I come back to again and again.

What is it with U75?

A thread about the wonderfulness of the new Kit Kat Chunky Caramel, is sidelined by discussions about Ikea, Daim Cake and who owns sodding Rowntrees with a side order of a random post about someone liking Snickers.

:D

Badgers, Griff and Rennie: Please see my post just above yours.

If you want to discuss Morrisons, Marmite or Carabou - you know where the 'new thread' button is.

This is for the discussion of the brilliance of Kit Kat Chunky Caramel.

:p

Ikea used to do proper Daim cakes.

Like you said they are now called "Almondy" in their shops.

I wonder if that is just a name change in Sweden too, or are Ikea being tight and fobbing us off with a inferior, cheaper brand? :hmm:

Are you sure? I only mentioned they did them in Ikea because I saw the Daim cake there last week.

I really can't handle a visit to Ikea, even for lush choccie cake.

It's only a 30 minute walk for me, plus you don't have to face the dreadful queues for the food bit.

Actually I don't have to face any sort of queues because I'm not working always go first thing in the morning mid week.

We have somewhat overdosed on that Daim bar Marabou chocolate recently with our 6 - yes SIX - trips in 3 weeks to Ikea.... I bought several hundred of the little sweets as prizes for kids at school and even they were complaining at the end. We still have to make one more trip, possibly tomorrow so I reckon we can squeeze a bit more in though....:D Wasn't that impressed with the Daim cake though.

The Edmonton Ikea only does the Almondy brand cake. Not seen the Daim one since I went to Croydon ages ago.

Anyway, what the fuck has this got to do with Kit Kat Chunky Carmel?
