World Of Warcraft

There's already a U75 clan which plays a few games (although admitedly mainly CSS). We'd love more gamers of other games on here to join us.:)

A friend of mine has CCS, and is in a clan - international pissheads. They meet up once a year. Is it worth getting, or will it be superceded by an expansion etc.

I already have 2 characters, I don't see anything stopping us all from creating new chararacters on one of the new low population servers. I think an Urban75 guild sounds like an excellent idea, it'd be good fun. Anyway it gets my vote. :D

I have made a poll about it!!:D

I played WoW quite alot, but don't have access to a PC that I can play it on now, and last time I got the opportunity I was really not arsed.

Anyone want to buy an account with a lvl 60 epic warlock, plus other chars ranging from 40-50 with loads of money making trade skills too? :D

I imagine you'd stick out like a sore thumb, all those awesome magical powers/weapons yet getting wasted by comparative gnats. (how much)

meh.. its tempting but i want to do it myself... imagine being a noob with a level 60 you didnt make.. it would be too wierd! You get attached to your toons...

Child dies as parents play WoW

A Korean husband and wife are facing criminal charges after their baby daughter died when they left her alone in order to play World of Warcraft.

According to news site Chosun, police say the parents left their four month-old child alone in a bedroom while they went to play the MMORPG at a local Internet cafe.

When they returned five hours later, the baby was lying on her stomach and had died of suffocation.

"We were thinking of playing for just an hour or two and returning home like usual, but the game took longer that day," the couple is reported as saying.

The phenonenomon of Leeroy Jenkins

This is an amusing snippet of Wow culture;

Leeroy Jenkins has apparantly become an icon that's spilled over beyond Wow. "Leeroy" now a term for a fuckup due to no planning.

The disasterous raid was captured and is on YouTube .

It starts with a raid team gathered to discuss tactics for their raid. They sound like a highly trained unit of marines.

Except Leeroy who's gone out to buy chicken.

Suddenly Leeroy comes back, and oblivious to all the planning, charges in yelling a battlecry. His exasperated guildmates pile in after him and all get slaughtered in the chaos.

"Leeroy, you are just stupid as hell"
"Least I have chicken."

:D

(this is prolly old hat to Wow pros, but funny for us outsiders).

Am I the only person who thinks they are fucking stupid, and would have managed to hurt/ kill thier baby somehow without the help of WoW?

Really, who leaves thier child alone for hours? She was only 6months old too, iirc.

Especially considering warlocks are generally thought to be the hardest class to play right, and the ones that get to go raiding and get the epic gear tend to be the good ones.

Tenner?

definitely worth getting CSS. it's bundled in with half life 2

Leeroy, South Park, WoW

I have just twigged that the shouting you hear at the beginning of the South Park episode is in fact lifted from the "Leeroy Jenkins" raid (see the YouTube clip in my earlier post) ;)

Well worth getting, been playing for over a year (well not the last few months because of moving and faffing around with getting online), no upgrade (ie new copy) on the horizon as far as I know.

Still playing after 18mths or so.

Give myself a month off every now and then to try and keep some perspective.

Always get suckered back in though.

Skullcrusher server.

That'd require everyone to be on the same server... which I don't think we are.

Fair point but there must be a few on the same right? Or are al u75 WoW players on completely different servers?

probably all on the same 2 or 3 servers, but half playing alliance and the rest on horde :)

Well I'm on Dunemaul PvP with a 60 lock, 58 hunter and 32 priest

i Thought it would be funny of all the u75 wow players made new characters on the same server with the same faction for a virtual meet up...

That sounds like a very good idea. If there is a good number of people playing i'd be up for this.:)

Materdarkone started playing this a few months ago... I dont like it... he is nearly 13 and he is only allowed 2 hours a day but already that doesent seem to be enough and is the cause of many rows. I have made him read this thread, which by the way has confirmed my fears....I shall continue to moniter the situation closely....masterdk1 is only allowed on after he has done all the things he is supposed to do anyway, and if he screws up no new subsciption when the current one runs out... Any thoughts?
