Excellent showing in the men's all round at the Europeans. Third and fifth for James Hall and Joe Fraser, respectively. Neither man was in the Rio team, and this is Fraser's first major tournament as a senior.

Completely forgot this was on - some fan I am!

Have watched the men's team and all-round finals on catchup and been majorly disappointed. FIFTH behind a young US team? FFS. The footage (not up to the BBC, I know) has been piss poor. Two rounds in and they exclusively show those at the top of the table? Couldn't tell you how well the double Olympic champion, Max Whitlock, did in either the pommel or floor in the team final, as we didn't catch sight of him.

Much as I love my future husband, OIeg Verniaiev, the successor to King Uchimura is named Ruoteng, Dalaloyon or Kaya. Certainly won't be Whitlock, as he's a specialist now, and you know how I feel about those.

Not optimistic looking towards Tokyo 2020.
