Working with animals do you ever get good money?

the main thing btw aboudoing animal behavioural work is to be able to analyse people. often the dogs will give you clues but I can honestly say that the majority of beahvioural stuff I have dealt with has been caused by the owner.

being diplomatic helps here too

Apart from behaviour work (which I'm working on but I need to get qualified) I can't seem to find any jobs which pay you more than 18k. I've looked at dog wardens, kennel hands, zoo keepers etc....:hmm::(
veterinarian?

zenie I wanted to be a vet but I couldn't afford to be in education that long, even at 18 I needed to get out and work and have an income, so I understand why you've ruled it out! 18K doesn't sound that bad to me, but then the stuff I do is pretty poorly paid anyway... I would love to be an animal behaviourist! Hope you manage to get it sorted :)

I need a change...I thought animal work might be it but I'm stuck in a position where I can't afford to change jobs and take a pay cut.

Anyone know of any jobs going? :D

Zenie - I saw an ad in this weekends South London Press - there's courses starting in September running at Capel Manor College, Crystal Palace Centre in Animal Care and Mangement - it says it's the equivalent to GCSE and A level qualifications. The ad says they are having an open day on June 28.

Cheers dude, I bought an SLP today but haven't looked at it yet, will have a look later on. :)

Nice one, I'm gonna have a shot at that too. I'd love to get into working with animals. My current career's run its course i reckon. Animals are the coolest organisms I've ever met.

Never met a dog a I didn't like (except for Harry Harper who used to stay with us at the kennels my mum used to run. He was a wrongun - I hope he's still out there somewhere reflecting on his behaviour that day ).
