Work in Europe over the summer

Well me too - but then it's never sarcasm that's only apparent purpose is to put someone down eh?

I think on here...you're far better to just use the mad face and be blatant about it.

'I already said that tastebud  - did you not read the fucking post? '

See? Sound! :D
no, but then i might jokingly put someone down, but hopefully not in any way to actually upset/offend them.
and if i do poke fun in this way, it usually means that i really like them - otherwise i might not bother.

yeah, is better though, agreed.

(in all honesty though sheo, i pretty much always assume your posts are light-heartedy/jokey - some people just give off this vibe. man).

ba's gonna go fucking ape shit when he reads what's happened to this thread   *flees*

Absolutely!

But that's more sort of 'comedy sarcasm' iykwim (I'm a great fan myself  :D )...and the difference is clear I think, between that..and this sort of business eh? ;)

Okay, let's get this thread back on topic. Where shall I go this summer goddamn it? :p

when did you say that *anyone* could apply though? you didn't *indicate* that it was open to random individuals to apply, thus i assumed that you had participated in the scheme through an employer. and since i know ba very well, personally, i know that this would not be helpful to him at the current time.

and why do you care so much anyway?

you do roll your eyes *way* too much, to be fair.

i'm sooo sorry ba - the information can be found online, there is still hope :D
i promise never to disrupt your threads in this way again :D

oh lol.

lololololol.

I'd have thought you could get bar work anywhere - there's Irish bars in Paris that want English speakers. I knew some people who did pub crawls for this company in Berlin last summer http://www.newberlintours.com/pubcrawl/index.htm You only have to speak English, it's easy work, lots of free drinks and your days are free. You could also do daytime city tours.

Ha this thread is hilarious  :D :p

BA There's a good book called work your way around the world might be worth a borrow out of the library? :)

When are you thinking of going?
In less than a month the bars in Ibiza, Greek islands etc will start recruiting for the summer..
..couple of ex-flatmates have signed up to do this later in the year; I know you said teaching wasn't your cuppa but it seems a bit less demanding than proper teaching; www.vaughantown.com ..seems a bit of a rip-off to me but I am tempted..
..or here? http://www.gumtree.com/london/2537_1.html

Nice to be back :)

Actually I could see you doing quite well on the daytime city tours - though you have to have quite a good memory and you work for tips rather than a wage iirc. I might have some contacts for people still if you're interested in Berlin.

Alternatively, just come and hang out with me in Paris for the summer... :D

Ann there were others of us who were interested in your info before you deleted it :(

Jesus Christ Ann - you've gone well overboard on all this.....accusing you of lying? Don't be silly! :D

If you've read something yourself before (as tastebud mentioned she had), it's quite usual to respond to someone with real experience of the same thing, telling you that it actually works in a totally different way (to whatever your original impression had been), with a throw away comment like tastebuds!

'Oh I was under the impression it was this <completely wrong> way, is that not right then?'

That sort of thing.

I thinkm you're being well over-dramatic and as mc says it's a great shame you deleted cos (as I said in my first post) it's an interesting programme that I'm sure a lot of people would have found appealing.

For the record and one more time, I think you've interpreted those posts ALL WRONG.
Bizarre.
