Stunning advice. Someone else told me exactly the same thing, this afternoon. Am going to try it next week. Just very difficult as it isn't me to not work hard (I know nobody will thank you for it when your gone - but that's just me).

Excuse me twat, I was the one who said I was lazy so don't you accuse me of having a work ethic. I have nothing against anyone not doing work. I just think the way you express yourself needs some work.

No it doesn't - it means people who deal only with the manner in which a point is made and ignore the content. I happen to think this forum shouldn't be about getting fellow workers dismissed or disciplined or in trouble with the boss and so likened those seeking to do so to stasi style grasses.

I don't particularly care for the way Geri and Butchers put their criticisms - not to mention Athos - but they said pretty much what I was thinking when I read the OP.
It's a nasty bit of petty-mindedness that's all about envy and resentment, and nothing about the milk of human kindness. I thought it was a shabby little exhibition of how narrow-minded and hateful people can get for absolutely no reason at all. I must have done: it even had me quoting Scripture!
And I'm glad to see, even if I don't usually agree with them or the somewhat brutal style they often use to post, that some people had the balls to call her nastiness as they saw it.
At the risk of sounding even more holy, I think that "there but for the grace of God go I" is a handy bit of thinking to do in these situations. I've been where that woman was - my wife (now ex) was very poorly, and my employers let me roll in at 10, 1030, and rush off at 1530 for several months. I said I'd make the time up when I could, although I rarely did, but they let me do that. I am proud to say that my colleagues were every bit as supportive as my employers were - nobody, as far as I know, went tittle-tattling to complain that I was swinging the lead, and all I ever got was concern and support. Should I ever be in a position to pass that favour forward, I shall do. And I won't thank any bitter, resentful shrews who think they're somehow being done down for pointing out my error in doing so, - far from it.

Good point. I suppose, as I know Me76, I think she didn't really mean it like it sounded, hence being offended on her behalf, but I do see what you mean. I don't think it was nastiness from her, though. Honest.

I've just explained the content - which again, you fail to deal with. At least this time you didn't take it as the opportunity to tell us another story about yourself, so thanks for that at least. A short aggressive post emphasising anger and disgust at the thatcherite nonsense in the OP and in the OP's attitude. Repeated when they failed to respond except by repitition. Simple. Right, now having accepted that I am a bitter and tragic fool, I've been trying to search for this joke. Do you mean you calling me pissface? I must admit to fuming about that for a bit but I can't find anything else.
