Wordpress is p*ssing me off!

GRRR!

I'm using my free wordpress blog, posting images on it as normal. The images are hosted on flickr.

I post small images, and link them to bigger images. But for some reason, all the images on the blog keep disappearing.

When I visit 'edit post', it turns out that the image has disappeared (checking the HTML, and the <img src="image.jpg"> bit has disappeared).

WTF is going on?

that sounds very odd - never came across it meself. have u posted on the wordpress forums at all ?

Blimey. All that's there is "<a target="_blank"><img border="0"></a>" which clearly isn't right. Can you edit that by hand?

I edited it a few times already but it keeps going back to how it is now. I've posted some feedback to wordpress and I'll post something on the forums in the morning. 'tis a right pain in the arse, this. I doubt I'll be using wordpress again.

I've been using wordpress for several years now and I've found it to be great - im sure if you post on the wordpress forums and also do a search there you'll find a solution.

Interestingly enough, the images don't disappear if I don't link them to anything. Check my website's blog: http://fpsbmx.wordpress.com/ It's pretty much the same as my personal one except the images aren't linked to bigger versions...

You might want to take a look at flickrrss. You just point it at your flickr account and it gets thumb nails, links etc.

Ah. I think that only works if you host wordpress on your own site though innit? Mine is just a normal wordpress account.

I've never seen that sort of behaviour in WP. If you look at the post in the control panel, not the source of the generated page, have the IMG tags been changed there?
