I started on a masters by research which would have been assessed by VIVA so instead of that have a qualifying VIVA instead

I'm in a situation I never thought would happen

today I passed my qualifying VIVA and am now a PhD student

fucking hell never thought I'd be here but with some minor amends which can be signed off by my supervisors (rather than going back to the VIVA panel) I'm free to go

*runs around with tshirt over head*

I'm also slightly drunk as bees and I have been celebrating

mate, i'm so proud of you. as i said in my text, i think you're a complete star. you've worked so hard for this and you deserve it completely (i'm not surprised the viva panel thought you were ace , it obvious to everyone).
