Does anyone know how much the top women playing in the English league earn. I would have thought it would be far higher in America, but I am curious. I know the Charlton women's team, who were reasonably successful, were disbanded at the beginning of the season because after the men's team got relegated they couldn't afford the women's team any more. As I understand it they've now got back together but that is a sad state of affairs.

I knew a woman who played for Arsenal and England. She earnt 25,000 a year from Arsenal but worked with them as a coach in schools etc...That seems to be preety much how it works.....One of my many girlfriends knows a couple of others who work as coaches.....at the david b......... academy.

yes from he premiership the 2nd highest divsion in the land(first being mens international). crap joke, i know the west ham first team would dick all over even an all womens dream team.

Women's football, oxymoron surely.

Nah it's all right, watched some of it on T.V. Keepers are shite though, 11-0 against the Argies for Germany. For a world cup, that's dreadful.

The thing is that the womens game is still developing. And if you look at African football 25 years ago, the best African Footballer was playing for ORIENT!!!! Now look how many really good footballers have come from Africa....
Given enough encouragement and support womens football could really take off.
