Wire actors popping up in sci-fi shows

Carcetti however turned to fantasy rather than sci-fi. And I just saw Ziggy from season 2 in the horror film Sinister.

More fun is the number of Oz characters that ended up in the Wire. That could hit double figures

Noticed Bob Wisdom who played Bunny Colvin (the best cop we never had) as a cop again in the Dark Knight Rises.

Few Oz spots-
There is a piss poor spy series on BBC1 on Thursday in which the main protaganist contacts a series of spies at HQ to help explain the plot for the benefit of US sales. One is none other than Simon Adebisi.

Beecher is also in Generation Kill as the Rolling Stone jounalist.

Also Augustus pops up in Sons of Anarchy.

Lester Freamon appears in Outland with Sean Connery.

It isn't sci-fi and it was a long, long time before The Wire, but Lester [Clarke Peters] turned up in a repeat of The Professionals on ITV 4 the other day. I even watched the closing credits, just to make sure it was him, he wasn't painstakingly constructing any miniature furniture though.

I knew nothing about him until I read his Wiki. He's a man of many talents, backing singer on Love and Affection by Joan Armatrading and Boogie Nights by Heatwave amongst other appearances on stage and screen both in the UK and the US, as well as being a friend of Ned Sherrin and writing Five Guys Named Moe for the stage. Bit of a polymath is Clarke.

A really good piece of work with Peters playing Mandela is Endgame about the tentative dialogue between a relative of De Klerk and a young Thabo Mbeki.
