Windows 95 users say aye

Anyone using 3.1 whilst we're at it?

There's always some traffic reporting as come from elderly operating systems. The bottom three are usually Windows 95, then Free BSD and then Windows 3.x and for any reasonably busy site they are always there as a very small proportion of visitors. The really depressing thing is on the browser front - about 15-20% of people are still using IE6 depending on the site audience. :(

Got it on my laptop. Never crashed, never lost anything. I did get a virus once that meant I had to reinstall Windows using 30-odd floppy disks, but otherwise no complaints.

Any more 95 users on here? :hmm:

I've still got 95 on one PC and 98 on the other. My windows 95 comes on a proper CD rom unfortunately the OS doesn't realise this and keeps asking (when trying to network it) to 'insert disk 19' and I have to keep directing it to the windows 95 folder on the CD rom. :D

Despite being on a 75Mhz machine with 48Mbytes of ram it still boots a lot faster than any other OS I've seen. It might be just as fast (at booting) as my Dad's brand new 2.8 GHz, 2 Gbyte Vista machine. :D

The public sector organisation I work for is planning its IE7 roll out...next week. There is quite a lot of resistance to it, believe it or not.
