Keeping the rest of my windows stuff on Win7 despite Microsoft's best attempts to "accidentally" upgrade everyone to 10 until support runs out in 2020 (and even then I guess I'll probably end up still running some stuff in an offlined VM).
I'm sort of thinking of going to Windows 10 when the free offer runs out assuming all the problems have been sorted. If Win 7 is being supported until 2020 though I'm not sure there'll be any real benefit since I doubt my puter will be around much longer after that.

Personally I don't believe they'll actually cut off the free downloads at all come June/July. They appear to be utterly desperate to force as many people on to W10 as possible, that in of itself was enough to put me off. They're legally obligated to keep up the security updates for 7 out until 2020 but remains to be seen how much damage they will end up doing to 7 and 8.1 in the interim.
My biggest problems with W10 are the philosophical ones, in that they don't seem to think you're worthy to control your own computer any more and MS are seeing it as their right to fuck with your stuff to their hearts content. Given that they've sacked most of their quality assurance engineers (i.e. the guys that do the regression testing for bugs) as a cost-cutting measure (and as a result we've had a year of constant breakage from patching)... their idea seems to be to force everyone to W10, force home users to install the patches Right Now and thus use hapless home users as the software testers. All the worst bits of heavy-handedness you might get from google or apple, but without any of the competence.
