The club is insisting that they're going to survive. I hope so.

That article's headline is wrong and misleading.
They were Served with a Petition, there has been no Order Granted.

However, the Hearing is still Listed for 19 December.
I can confirm that neither Petition has yet been withdrawn.

There has been a rash of Petitions Issued against Clubs recently :

THE SPORTING GROUP LTD | Resolutions for Winding-up | The Gazette
NOSY PARKER LIMITED | Resolutions for Winding-up | The Gazette
[Blyth AFC / Blyth Town - NOT the Spartans]

THAMESMEAD TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED | Resolutions for Winding-up | The Gazette
[Thamesmead Town, running out of Dartford's stadium]

DOWNFIELD FC SOCIAL CLUB LTD | Petitions to Wind Up (Companies) | The Gazette
[Downfield, a Scottish Junior side in Lothian]

EBBSFLEET UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED | Petitions to Wind Up (Companies) | The Gazette
[Ebbsfleet United, purportedly now paid off]

OXFORD UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED | Petitions to Wind Up (Companies) | The Gazette
[Headington United, purportedly now paid off]

I was at the Hearing where Kidderminster Harriers were on the Petitioned List to be Wound Up, but it appears to have disappeared from the Gazette...
Kidderminster Harriers avoids winding up over unpaid tax
<EDIT : Found it, Case 9008 of 2018 [CR-2018-009008] Kidderminster Harriers Football Club Ltd - sums owed to HMRC>

Additionally Coventry appear to be in difficulties, once again, but I haven't seen them Listed for a Hearing as of yet...

Hey, YTC - remember that list I gave you months and months ago...?
Traffic light system for pre-1886 Clubs in trouble / Historic Sports Grounds...?

Went fucking Mental Red since I sent it to you.

Also, you can add Sheffield FC to that list and for very good reasons too.

If we're talking Windings-Up, what about Keith Hackett, Mark Clattenburg, Mark Halsey and Jock Waugh's companies...?

The gang of ex-FIFA, UEFA & EFL Referees have racked up huge Debts.

KIERAN LYNCH AND CO (KINGSCREST) Ltd | Petitions to Wind Up (Companies)
    £115,000 owed to HMRC
    c. £200,000 owed to the University of Sheffield as a result of an unpaid remnant on the £250k accommodation Contract for a kids' tournament, refereed by Clattenburg :
    www.thestar.co.uk/special-features-2-19210/mark-clattenburg-to-ref-stars-of-the-future-at-football-s-oldest-tournament-in-sheffield-1-8558994
The Company was Wound Up on 14 August, Liquidation is currently underway.
Quantuma LLP are the Liquidators, Appointed by the Court.

THE REF ONLINE Ltd, aka T R Dot O, aka The Ref Academy, aka YOU ARE THE REF
£250,000 owed to Employees and Contractors, mainly Referees

[Keith Hackett's as thick as pig shit, BTW - that wasn't Yorkshire advice, but Swiss!]
    c. £150,000 owed to other Football Creditors
    c. £250,000 owed to HMRC [yet to attach to the Petition]
£11,000 owed to the law firm CMS-CMNO LLP, as the Petitioner

THE REF ONLINE Ltd, aka YOU ARE THE REF
Clattenburg had tried, and failed, to set up a Referee training contract in Saudi Arabia for the above company. Hence the swift and unexpected departure from top-level officiating last year, combined with the equally unexpected return from the Empty Quarter.

Hackett & Halsey went west, to the USA, Mexico & Canada.
They also failed, miserably, to sell services already provided by each National FA.

The Company was Wound Up on 5 December, Liquidation is currently underway.
Griffins LLP are the Liquidators, Appointed by the Court.

YOUDAN TROPHY Ltd | Petitions to Wind Up (Companies)
£78,000 owed to CMS-CMNO LLP, as the Petitioner
    c. £150,000 owed to Football Creditors, including Schools, children and kids' Clubs
    c. £200,000 owed to HMRC [yet to attach to the Petition]

Still trading, still taking Deposits...see here :
    Development Tournaments 2019
Taking Deposits from children, into an Insolvent Company on the verge of Liquidation.
Frankly, it doesn't get much worse than that, in my book.

Oh well, we'll just have to ensure that those illustrious former Officials will be called in to the Official Receiver for an Examination under Oath, eh...? Maybe Unwind some Transactions...? Recover some Assets...? Yeah, pretty much guarantee that, in fact.

Clatts always did like to court the headlines.
Nowadays, all Clatt's headlines are going to be about the Courts.

Further to the above, myfootballclub.com & Headington Utd are still subject to 'live' Petitions.
    Companies Court Winding Up List
[URL will only work until the next weekly WUP List is Published]

Whilst both clubs claim to have paid off HMRC, any other Creditor who is owed £750 or more can still 'Attach' themselves to the Petition, or Substitute themselves in place of the original Petitioner that may have been paid off.

The two clubs remain at risk of such an action until such a time that the Petitions are formally Dismissed by the Judge.

Quite a few footballing cases are Listed for tomorrow's Hearing :

#72 on the list, CR-2018-009266, YOUDAN TROPHY Ltd
Keith Hackett, Jock Waugh & Mark Clattenburg still haven't paid their debts.

#79 on the list, CR-2018-009285, EBBSFLEET UNITED Ltd
myfootballclub.com continues to be a side-attraction to the planned Theme Park.
The club claims to have paid off HMRC.

#169 on the list, CR-2018-009495, RAIDERS RUGBY LEAGUE Ltd
West Wales Raiders become the first Rugby League club to appear before the Court this Season - only a week after Neath's RFU XV dodged the HMRC hammer.

#183 on the list, CR-2018-009533, OXFORD UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB Ltd
Headington United claim to have paid off HMRC, having recently also brought ex-Internazionale 'billionaire' Erick Thohir onto the club's Board.
