As I may have more time on my hands in the evenings by mid/late June than I'd ideally like ;) :(, it's a good job I have enough leave for at least two, maybe three, afternoons off. Only for really key matches, those.

BBC World Cup Fixture list suggests matches will be at either 2 pm, 5:15 pm or 7:45 pm, with a couple of early oddities at around 11 AM  -- I presume the BBC gives UK/BST kickoff times?

Early oddities like Scotland v Bulgaria? This is the proper list like, no morning nonsense.

Booked time off to go see Spain's first match anyhow, but I reckon my company will be good about England games...shame I don't wanna see 'em! I'll sit here in my Spain shirt looking grumpy.

Screwed up there, sorry, will edit. Was relying on the BBC all-international-fixtures list (including pre-WC friendlies/warmups) :o and 'forgot' ( at self) to double check dates.

I work in sport and in TV so I'm surrounded by bloody screens showing everything - last time we all stopped for the interesting games. As long as you get your work done you can watch the matches.

Fucked off to the pub to watch England win and then I went and watched them lose sat on top of a lion in Trafalgar Square

That was an early start :D

At least you're into it though PieEye .... ;)

:D

Unfortunately I'm a World Cup only fan - I like the carnival atmosphere and the game is blown wide open to a new audience. Domestic footie is too frequent and comes with too much I don't know :D

I find it easier to pick a side than in regional footie :o

yeah my work is laying on great big screen in the meeting room. they'll probably lay on free beer and food too. i think they'll set up a five a side pitch in the car park so we can have a kick about before of after the game.

cash prizes for first goal time sweepstakes and that sort of thing too.
