ms trimble is not in the least smug - strikes me as a bit nervous/shy, and delightfully posh! glad she finally woke up near the end. i liked both teams but wanted the one that won, to win.

I'd never heard of her until it was on PM earlier, with them interviewing Paxman about it all. I still don't understand.

He did say that being good at University Challenge wasn't about being clever at all, except with a very few questions which required some sort of logic, it was a quiz and just about knowing lots of stuff themed around a "classical education". (He did term this "general knowledge" though.)
