Dates are quite off at least in the UK because most of them are dried that means they've been around a long time. But not off. According to my calendar it's February the 30th 2012. That means my dates are really off

Sainsbury's chorizo. Use by early July. It's been in the fridge. Obviously cured as it's chorizo. Would you eat it (and live)?

I did eat some very out of date Baby Bel cheese once. I thought, because they were coated in wax that they would be fine. They were over a year out of date.

Does it smell even slightly different? Has it gone a little dull in colour, discoloured, or pale? If so, chuck it. If not, taste a slither. I think most Spaniards would chuck sliced supermarket chorizo away if it was this out of date. It might just be okay for you, don't feed it to a child though.
