I've never seen The Mighty Boosh, but I have watched a few episodes of Will & Grace. It's rubbish, but there's something about that rich, drunk bird - Karen? - that I find strangely attractive. There, I've said it.

the mighty boosh is not just "wacky" at all. it's funny, and it's clever. any percieved "wackiness" is not just there for the sake of it, it all fits into - and helps - the narrative. it's not like in, for example, family guy where something weird just happens that has nothing to do with the storyline. even the little sections where the moon has something to say fit in, like when they fly past hm on a magic carpet.

More like Will & Grace is boring, vacuous run-of-the-mill aspirational American shite about rich people in their stylish apartments..... just like all other Amercian comedy. The only difference is the inclusion of camp gay men which we are meant to think of as a massive step forward for gay representation. A bit like when Graham Norton first started up on Channel 4.

but i LOVE Will and Grace (the early episodes mainly)

i want to be, or to have as my friend, Karen. she is a marvel. and a wonderful woman. all women should aspire to be like Karen imo.

Grace gets on my nerves though, and i only watch it for the other two. i even bought a box set. that's how much i love it.

yeh, it's ok in the early epsisodes, not so ok later on when she gets it all bouffanted and straightened (imo) again. i just don't like her whiney screechy voice, but then, that's the character isn't it.
