It'd go down horribly, of course, but I reckon the idea could be pushed through after US dollar fluctuations impacted one time too many on the Canadian economy - they'd probably put out a special edition John A. Macdonald US $5 bill to try and appease the patriots.

US dollar fluctuations affect the whole world, not just Canada. We've ridden out all the previous ones, and now have a dollar stronger than theirs. I can't see how adopting the US dollar would benefit us in any way.

Did anyone else get the feeling that the dialogue on that clip wasn't the original dialogue? It seemed to be out of synch with the mouth movements.

This NAU smells like conspiracy bollocks to me.
