I'm not one for hyperbole but "summerteeth", "YHF" and "A Ghost is Born" are masterpieces. Seem to be gettign better and better with age.

Did someone really compare them to Radiohead

The first Woddy Guthrie album with Billy Bragg, Mermaid Avenue is also worth a listen or 50.

yeah, Wilco - I saw them in Loung Ax around the time of the first record which I didn't like much except for Boxful of Letters and was much more into Son Volt and the amazing Trace album but since then they've really moved away from Americana; my fave album is still probably the second one; not that fond of Summerteeth. The new live one is goood.

Yep. Had 'YHF' since 2002 and I find it flows a similar philosophical vein to 'Kid A' and '100th Window' in grasping successfully at the avant garde.
