Had she been ...er... excessively home-schooled and shielded then, IYKWIM? Ie: even more than other home-schooled kids?
I did meet somebody a few weeks ago who was home-schooled. 24 years old, a graduate, but honestly had virtually no idea about irrelevancies like the bible or the royal family. -So it clearly has it's benefits...
Other dad was actually stepdad and had no real relationship with teenager, but was influenced by what the swapmum said. They had a good bonding over dislike of hill walking they were put through and had a night in together they enjoyed - I think that family took something from the experience. The daughter didn't seem bothered about the strip bar thing really - it's not like she was turning into a barbie doll clone - in true teenage style she looked to be rebelling and was rocking the emo look instead
As anybody that knows me would probably tell you: virtually everything I claim as 'FACT!' is usually based on some half-remembered snippet I read on the intermaweb at 3am...
