Why were people smashing Starbucks windows at the Gaza protest?

It would be funny, but ffs, the manager was upstairs...

I do wonder if you would make light of an attack on a Mosque for instance, your stuff is usually very good, but this is way off beam, imo

lol!:D

Is there nothing you won't say to try and have a go at the demonstrators?
You're making yourself look like an idiot, for your own sake stop!

Two starbucks stores had their windows cracked tonight in the West End after police blocked a march to the Israeli embassy with dogs and horses, causing sporadic disorder across W1.

there are alwys idiots. just because some twats smashed up anything going, doesn't mean that the whole protest is wrong headed.

the same applies to israel and hamas. being against one doesn't equate to being in favour of another. if you can't understand all of this, then you're too stupid to be involved in political discourse, fuck off back to eastenders.

'jewish owned', ffs if they are attacking 'jewish owned stores' then things are going down the pan

Yeah, I watched the first episode. It was really good.

India was the heart of mathematics, not just numerals(which are wrongly called Arabic) and equations, which was stated on the first program but the whole lot.

So is the report by Spiked (and others)correct or not?:hmm::cool:
It's partly correct, but it's a lie to call the spoof letter a hoax - the spoof was an exaggeration of the truth about Starbucks (they have done promotions around the IDF) and and Schultz (he is a Zionist), but it's not simply an invention of the author.

Seems Like you're more likely to be attacked if you are Jewish by Zionists than Anti Militarists or Palestinian supporters?:hmm:

I dont think its a bigger threat then anti-semitism, but this sort of stuff is increasing for the simple reason that the "moderate" support of israel among jews is now starting to fall away, and has been for years, slowly at first but it is now accelerating and even people who describe themselves as "zionists" are often against every single thing that israel stands for ... but they are not ready to make that psychological leap yet ...

so, increasingly, the only people left who wholeheartedly support israel are often either people who went on "zionist youth camps" and therefore have a totally naive, idealistic idea of what Israel is ... or angry teenagers who have been the victims of anti-semitism or whatever and turn to zionism,

or people who support israel because of family or whatever, often disagreeing with much of what the country does, but not feeling able to make the leap to disassociate themselves from it

...or "fash"

:(

most people in the jewish community are very, very, very conflicted over it

The biggest threat to the Jewish community in Britain is and always has been the far right - many of whom, not so surprisingly, now support Israel

thats obviously making it sound too simplistic mind you, but the more atrocities israel commits, the more support from jews is falling away from it ...

Surely if this was anti-semitic/and Jewish attack the most obvious attacks would have been Tesco's, who apart from being one of the main proponents of creating a large scale corporate monocultural wasteland, destroying small businsses and possibly communities, are relatively ethical as far as supermakets go, even promoting trade unionism(for their own interests). I'm sure there is a metro store quite close to where this incident took place.

However the same could not be said for Starbucks and to a lesser degree Marks & Spencers.

However I heard from some people on this demo that remarks made by Galloway and PSC speaker were OTT about measures to Israeli business, which with the events in Gaza, hightened tension and environment could lead to some fuckwits attacking Jewish people and businesses, which should be nipped in the budd immidietely.
