Why Two Kittens are Better Than One

awww that is the fattest-faced little kitten EVER! :D :D

icepick met tomasina the other day, Photo says he wasn't particularly impressed tho  but then icepick isn't a cat-lover ...
He's gorgeous. Reminds me of one of mine (Molly). He's going to have a good sporran, like she has. In the winter you could stuff a mattress with it.

Heh heh! Though think all that cooing might have worn me out too - my tonsils are rather inflamed at the moment :(

But after shamelessly bringing my own camera round, I can post this little pic of Hendrix :) I'm going to have to post a link rather than pic cos I don't know how to shrink them.

(Crispy loved the names btw! :) )

That is such a cute picture of Hendrix!

I'd love to get a cat or dog (or a kitten and a puppy together, so they grow up being friends!) However, being out from 8am till 9pm puts pay to that.

The other thing that puts me off is I still haven't really got over losing my last cat, unless you have pets yourself you just cannot understand the pain. Most people will tell you to get a grip as it's only a cat, but they are more than that.

I will have to go through this pain again soon as my best mate's Staffy (who I virtually think of as my own as I lived with him for three years) is very ill.

P-O - have you considered taking in a couple of older cats, who would be company for each other but also be pretty self-sufficient and just need a nice quiet home for a few years?
there are many such cats in shelters. it's what Photo and i were planning on doing, til tomasina came along!

Yes, quite a good idea but see above. It may be being selfish, but as they are older it means less time before they go. I am not sure I could go through all that again, as much as I love cats (and as much as it makes me sound like a big girls blouse!)

nah i completely understand, i tried to drink myself to death when i found out my previous cat Tasha had advanced spinal cancer :( :(
she was put down just 2 days later, so it all happened very quickly. it's taken me 3 years to get another cat and even then i was extremely hesitant and Photo basically had to push me into it. glad he did tho!

Some pretty good sporran action going on here.

We had a brother and sister from kittens and they have kept each other young and playful. They do have the occasional scrap and arguement over who is sitting where but generally they get on well. I'd never get just one cat again...two really is best. :)
